During the covered dish social that followed a previous officer installation on August 18, 2019, the Knights presented $500 checks to Monica Taylor with the Laurens County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, Jane Parris with the Whitten Center Parents Club, and Shelby Thomas with Area 5 Special Olympics. The funds, raised to benefit the intellectually disadvantaged in our area, were collected as part of Operation Columbus HOPE (Helping Other People Everyday). Donations were made at church and during Columbus HOPE Tootsie Roll Distributions.
